Before your appointment

Skin preparation is key for a flawless application

  • Shower at least 3 hours before your appointment

  • Shave, wax and exfoliate at least 24 hours prior to your appointment

  • Do not use lotion, gel, razor with moisture strip, shaving cream, or oil-based exfoliant scrubs, they could leave a residue on the skin and prevent the tan from developing. We recommend an exfoliating glove and liquid body wash, no bar soap.

  • Do not wear makeup, moisturizer, sunscreen, perfume or deodorant the day of your appointment

  • Moisturize the skin in the days leading up to your appointment (not the day of)

  • Mani/Pedi's should be done before your tanning appointment

After your appointment

During the development period:

  • Avoid activities that cause sweating or any contact with liquid. Getting wet will ruin your tan.

  • Do not apply any products to the skin such as lotion or makeup

  • No touching - if your hands touch other parts of your body during the development period it could result in stained palms

  • Wear loose clothing including long pants and a long sleeve shirt during development period. Skin to skin contact could result in an uneven tan.

Maintenance after the first rinse:

  • Your first rinse should be with warm water and no soap. Pat dry with towel, no rubbing.

  • Moisturize the skin twice daily, no exfoliating

  • Avoid excessive sweating, hot tubs, saunas, and long hot showers/baths to prolong your tan

  • Avoid any skin products that contain mineral oil, petroleum or alcohol
