Before your appointment
Skin preparation is key for a flawless application
-
Shower at least 3 hours before your appointment
-
Shave, wax and exfoliate at least 24 hours prior to your appointment
-
Do not use lotion, gel, razor with moisture strip, shaving cream, or oil-based exfoliant scrubs, they could leave a residue on the skin and prevent the tan from developing. We recommend an exfoliating glove and liquid body wash, no bar soap.
-
Do not wear makeup, moisturizer, sunscreen, perfume or deodorant the day of your appointment
-
Moisturize the skin in the days leading up to your appointment (not the day of)
-
Mani/Pedi's should be done before your tanning appointment
After your appointment
-
Avoid activities that cause sweating or any contact with liquid. Getting wet will ruin your tan.
-
Do not apply any products to the skin during the development period
-
No touching - if your hands touch other parts of your body during the development period it could result in stained palms
-
Wear loose clothing including long pants and a long sleeve shirt during development period. Skin to skin contact could result in an uneven tan.
-
Do not rinse the solution off until the appropriate development time has passed - refer to your artist
-
Your first rinse should be with luke warm water and no soap
-
Moisturize the skin twice daily, no exfoliating
-
Avoid excessive sweating, hot tubs, saunas, and long hot showers/baths. These will all cause faster fading.
-
Avoid any skin products that contain mineral oil, petroleum or alcohol
